Hollister New Image and G1: understand two-piece and one-piece differences

New Image is a two-piece system: the pouch couples to a separate skin barrier. Hollister instructs users to match flange size. A 70mm flange does not mean a 70mm cut-to-fit stoma opening.

System distinction: Two-piece: pouch and compatible skin barrier are separate components. The G1 pouch listings are one-piece systems.

Material and documentation checks

Confirm the hydrocolloid barrier, filter, film construction, cut-to-fit range and pack quantity on the exact product label and instructions. Published ISO 10993 reports apply to the samples and tests they identify; they are not a blanket guarantee of skin safety or equal wear time.

Can a matching size number establish equivalence?

No. A cut-to-fit opening, coupling flange and adhesive footprint are different dimensions. System type, shape and exact product code also matter. Confirm any change with your stoma-care professional.

Does a quotation guarantee medical-aid payment?

No. Your scheme determines authorisation, benefits, designated suppliers and co-payments. A quotation is a request for assessment, not proof of approval.

What does a G1 pouch box contain?

The G1 70mm and 80mm listings are boxes of 20 pouches. A two-box offer contains 40. Check the current product page and label for the full specification.
